Just Why Do We Need Glutathione?

In her latest book, Breakthrough, Suzanne Somers interviewed the inventor and CEO of the LifeWave patches, David Schmidt, and asked him about the glutathione booster patch, one of the most popular of all the patch systems. Because there are so many toxins in our environment, it is helpful to raise the glutathione levels in our body and this patch does that. As you may know, glutathione is the body's major antioxidant and increasing those levels can only help us. Suzanne asked David why we need to keep those levels elevated:

"DS: One of the things that doctors have substantiated is that how long you live is directly proportional to how high you can keep your glutathione levels.

SS: That's quite a statement. I know that glutathione is a powerful master antioxidant.

DS: Yes. Antioxidants protect out intercellular fluids and our intercellular environment from free-radical damage. And, of course, if we want to hold off the ravages of aging, then we should all be concerned with our whole blood levels of glutathione.

SS: Is this because we are being bombarded with so many toxins in this new world?

DS: Yes, As a result, individuals' glutathione levels are depressed compared to what they were many years ago. So with today's toxic environment we have to have new strategies implemented daily to protect us from these harmful toxins.

SS: This is more than exciting. You have recognized the existing threat of the damaging and harmful effects of toxins and chemicals on the body and this is your answer: the magic bullet.

DS: Yes, we have to do something. Pharmaceuticals are not the answer for everything. We are getting hundreds of environmental toxins introduced into our bodies from the food we eat and the air we breathe, and some of these are in the form of heavy metals, plastics, and pesticides. It is no longer good enough just to take a vitamin pill to elevate our antioxidants; now we have to be concerned with protecting our bodies from free-radical damage, keeping our liver clean, and keeping the heavy metals out of our bodies.

SS: And your glutathione patch can do that, keep the liver clean and kill free radicals?

DS: Yes, the liver is a big part of it, and we know that we find elevated levels of glutathione in the liver. We also know that the liver has multiple pathways for keeping the blood clean, and glutathione is one of the predominant pathways. And we know that glutathione's traditional benefit has been in removing heavy metals and protecting the body from free radicals, so yes to your questions."

Suzanne and David Talk Glutathione

If any of you have watched the Larry King Show recently, you probably saw Suzanne Somers talking all about her new book, 'Breakthrough.' She talked a lot about the LifeWave patches and how highly she thinks of them.

One of the patches in the Y-Age system is the Glutathione Booster patch. As glutathione is in the news a lot these days, I would like to share some of Suzanne's interview with David Schmidt, founder, inventor and CEO of LifeWave. Suzanne herself has had glutathione drips and asks David about that.

"SS: So if you have a patch that elevates glutathione (which I know you do), instead of going to the antiaging doctor and getting an intravenous drip of glutathione for detoxification purposes, we simply take this patch and place as instructed on our body and our body heat activates the wavelengths of light that trigger the cells in the body that make glutathione? Did I get it?
DS: Exactly. You get an "A."
SS: Well, the glutathione patch is such an interesting way to detoxify the body,
in fact downright exciting. A breakthrough!.
DS: Yes, because a glutathione drip has a half-life of somewhere around seven to ten minutes, one hour after your drip, your blood glutathione is back to normal--which is worth it from the standpoint of cleaning out heavy metals. It is extremely safe and it saves people's lives. If we are interested in detoxifying the body of heavy metals, a glutathione drip is worth it; however, if we are interested in keeping our glutathione levels elevated on a regular basis as an antiaging strategy, our patch is the only way to do it."

More from Suzanne Somers Book "Breakthrough"

Actress and author Suzanne Somers has written a wonderful book called "Breakthrough: Eight Steps To Wellness. Life Altering Secrets From Today's Cutting Edge Doctors." In it, she interviews David Schmidt, inventor of the LifeWave nanotechnology patches and asks him to explain how these patches actually work. Here's what he said:

"It has been proven that the DNA in our cells actually emits specific frequencies or wavelengths of light that trigger all of the reactions that occur within the cells of our bodies. If we know and understand that light is involved in cell communication, wouldn't it make sense that if you wanted to improve the way our bodies burn fat, we could use the frequency of light from our cells to trigger fat burning?

"If we know the frequency of light our bodies use to repair tissue, we simply shine that frequency of light on our bodies and we accelerate tissue repair. So with our nanotechnology patches we can use light therapy in very sophisticated ways that pharmaceutical medicine cannot address today."

To read more about this and how excited Suzanne Somers is about these patches, consider getting her book, "Breakthrough." It is a wonderful book and well worth a read.

Have You Ever Been To A Rain Forest?

I went to Argentina last month.. Buenos Aires was fascinating, but not what I expected. I could feel the past violence of the city. As recently as what, 20 years ago??, people opposed to the government were simply 'disappearing.' When I was there, I could feel the city buzzing and yet, under the surface, there was discomfort. Can't quite put my finger on it and I invite anyone more knowledgeable to send me their ideas.

We had a wonderful tour guide, Maria, who took us just about everywhere in the city, including the poor areas, with stray dogs and people sleeping here and there or just wandering. A city of contrasts.

But one place I found extraordinary was Iguazu Falls. It's a series of 275 waterfalls on the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. We were advised to see the falls from both the Argentine and Brazil sides. Before the tours, I was sitting on the balcony of my room at the Sheraton Iguazu and feeling the immense healing power of this rain forest. Why on earth are people cutting them down?

We toured the Argentine side of the falls in the morning and the Brazil side after lunch. In the rain. Well, of course, it's a rain forest! We had plastic slickers on, but still got sprayed a lot. We were so close to the falls, it was scary. Such power. And such noise. Can you imagine the first people who came upon this scene centuries ago? What a discovery.

A deluge came that afternoon while on the Brazil side. A very powerful thunder storm. We were delayed getting back to the hotel and when we arrived, all the power was out. Pitch black. And yet people from all over the world, speaking many languages, were sitting in the bar having a good time. The bar had candles and flashlights lined up and the bartenders were mixing up drinks right and left. Sandwiches were magically appearing from below-stairs. And everyone was having fun.

Every once in a while, the power would come back on and a huge cheer came up from the crowd. Then the lights would go out again and we all laughed.

If you decide to go there, I highly recommend the Sheraton Iguazu on the Argentine side. We were told it's the only hotel that's actually in the park. You can actually see the falls from the lobby. AND they have internet access.

Difficulty Losing Weight?

For those of you who may have tried LifeWave's new SP6 appetite control patch and still haven't lost weight, here's a suggestion: Use the Skin Care Patch (also called the Glutathione Booster) for one month first without using the weight loss patch.

This can detoxify your liver and clean out areas that may be stuck. Then try the SP6 appetite control patch for one month. Or longer if needed.

Currently, the Glutathione Booster is available as part of Y-Age, but you will soon be able to buy it by itself. It's just not quite back in the system yet. Try checking back in a week or two.

But here is my experience so far with this weight loss patch: I can go an entire day with very little food. I eat healthy, fresh food, but smaller potions of it. I have NO desire for sweets, though I can have them if I choose. I just have no craving for them. A typical day wearing this patch can be: yogurt for breakfast, tuna salad and slice of cheese for lunch, acorn squash and chicken with maybe a small salad for dinner. And maybe a Fruitfull bar (have you tried those? yum) sometime during the evening.

It's not that I can't eat more: I simply don't want to. And I have plenty of energy.

A votre santé,

Heidi
